Tattoo Smart invited master comic book artist Shawn Crystal (Marvel, DC Comics, Image, and Dark Horse) to curate this flash stamp set as a dynamic anatomical template you can apply across a wide range of popular tattoo subjects. Shawn draws from his twenty-plus-year career of illustrating Batman, Deadpool, X-Men, and the rich dimensions of their worlds' many characters. Formed from his refined comic style and with tattoo design in mind, Shawn Crystal blended a superior knowledge of human posing, kinetics, visual rhythm, and silhouette value. The result, Illustrative Poses Volume 1, is a completely original and inspiring addition to your ever-growing and diverse tattoo flash stamp library, and to the broadly established tattoo lexicon of pin-up girls, fighting, and religious-themed designs.

More info
Killian Moon created this comprehensive set of female hand reference stamps and an accompanying photo eBook as a fundamental part of any digital toolkit. Developed from his own photo references, Lady Fingers includes more than a hundred hands in still poses, making hand gestures, holding objects, and in motion, all from different perspectives. Tattooers working in nearly any style will find Lady Fingers incredibly useful.
In his tattoo design process, Killian uses digital construction tools like these, and the ones in his Great Head and Essentials toolkits, to model and compose elements. In order to exactly capture how a hand looking holding an object or the expressiveness of a hand gesture, he often found himself needing to take his own photos for reference. Building on that process, he created this library of nearly any hand pose you may need for your tattoo designs. In the eBook, Killian paired each hand stamp with the original photo reference.
No more hiding hands behind the backs of pinups or fingers accidentally missing a knuckle. Lady Fingers includes anatomical construction lines to help you understand where to shade your tattoo or where each joint bends when a hand is grasping an object. Popular tattoo requests like praying hands or a hand holding a stiletto are also included.
Get Lady Fingers today and begin exploring the new ways to incorporate hands into your tattoo designs!

Approaching each realism tattoo he does with an illustrative process, Orville uses his favorite elements like the ones in this set to make reality more interesting by arranging objects from visually distinct view points. In Orville’s Toolkit, you’ll find the stamp brushes to further your exploration into how seemingly ordinary objects and imagery can be combined in new and meaningful ways. Hands and anatomical hearts, as well as roses, leaves, and stems, can be used to add classic realism elements to your designs.Orville also included a wide selection of art tool stamps in the set, featuring markers, brushes, and pencils, as well as coil tattoo machines, needle cartridges, ink cap and bottles. Again, each elements is presented from a dynamic perspective, encouraging you to see the tools of the trade in a new way.New to Tattoo Smart sets, Orville created a selection of linework and shaded background flow elements that create a nice area to place designs in, and give depth to your work. For more complicated multi-dimensional designs, ornamental and mandala cutout stamps can be used as background or transitional elements. Finally, Orville supplied a range of complex geometric shapes that are interesting enough to be used as design elements on their own or as templates to help you construct complex shapes in perspective.Orville’s Toolkit, like all Tattoo Smart stamp sets, puts new ways to explore tattoo design in your digital toolkit.

Every single one of Frank's animation-influenced character designs are a study in conveying emotion, depth, and story. In an effort to share his knowledge with his peers in the tattoo community, Frank La Natra is now offering a LIVE seminar at various conventions across the USA and beyond. During this 4 hour class he details the fundamental building blocks for designing great characters.

Some day, we hope to bring you a video recording of one of those LIVE workshops so you can get the full picture that Frank is trying to convey.
However, when we saw the fantastic illustrations that Frank had created for his Character Design seminar, we knew we had to compile them into an eBook and make it available on its own through Tattoo Smart.

The Needle Set
Complete Brush Set including Tattoo Liners, Mags, and Stipple Brushes for Procreate on the iPad
Designed by Russ Abbott of Ink & Dagger Tattoo (@russabbott)
What’s inside
- 44 Liner brushes with bug pin and stipple options
- 16 Magnum brushes with soft edge option
More info
When Tattoo Smart launched the original Liners & Mags brush set in 2016, we created a bridge between the physical craft of tattooing and the digital art tools that tattooers were learning to love.
The Needle Set by Russ Abbott is the next evolution of that bridge, introducing new options within the set based on the feedback from thousands of tattooers in our community, and refining the functionality to utilize advancements in Procreate.
In short, we're revolutionizing the foundational digital tattoo design toolkit. Again.
When you open The Needle Set on your iPad, it might seem overly simple at first. We designed it that way on purpose - so it feels as intuitive and natural to use as your favorite machine. Your familiar tattoo process - lining, shading, then coloring - is how you'll use this set, and Russ has precisely created each brush to mimic the liner, shader, or magnum needles you use everyday. Even the color settings of each brush are finely tuned to perform how actual tattoo pigment works, with darker colors covering light but not vice versa.
Each digital liner brush has a smooth taper in and out, simulating the solid consistency of your best linework. The mag brushes respond to pressure and movement precisely, allowing you to render your designs exactly as you'll want to tattoo them. Use them to quickly pack color in your design, or create a long taper to whip or feather an edge. The round shaders are perfect for creating a soft finish or for touching up areas of shading using a mag brush, just like in real life. New to this set, the stipple brushes are the closest digital brushes you'll find for recreating stippling in tattooing, or as a cool texture for any digital art.
Who is The Needle Set designed for? Well, everyone. But more specifically, tattooers who are continually learning and honing their craft and their design skills will find this set to have everything they need to push themselves and their process to each next level. Tattooers who are new to iPads and Procreate will be able to quickly apply their tattoo process to a digital medium. Apprentices and new tattooers will be able to practice the physical strokes and design process they'll need as they learn to tattoo.
Tattoo Smart's goal is to constantly expand the capabilities of what tattooers can do with technology, and we are proud to present the most advanced, intuitive, multi-functional digital needle toolkit for the tattoo community.

You can use the flash stamps to try different layouts of these flowers, stems, and buds, or add them to larger compositions, understanding how each flower’s placement and perspective adds depth and interest to your tattoo.

More info
The Realism Cheat Code is the ultimate tool for anyone using a reference for shading and color rendering. Your designs will never look "off" again. Make the right decisions, the first time.
The Realism Cheat Code is a .procreate file that allows you to visualize and distinguish between different value layers within a reference image. Isolate precise areas of each shade. Understand the complexity and value range while you design.
Here's what others have to say about The Realism Cheat Code:
I'm currently working on a tiger tattoo design, and the Realism Cheat Code has been a game-changer. I was able to see areas where I needed to make tweaks to the value levels of my reference image. It's been incredibly helpful in identifying areas where the face of the tiger isn't dark enough, for example. - Robert, LAUNCHPAD member
I think the most useful part is setting the effect of the contrast. I feel like I see a lot of black and gray tattoos that are really good, but are lacking contrast. There's not enough black and there's not enough skin. So I feel like this is a really easy way to just see it in, black and white. - Brooke, LAUNCHPAD member

From individual petals to complete stamp designs, The Rose Kit is unique to any Procreate set available, used for rose design scenarios from completely custom to flash stamps. Given the variety of center options, you can select the base angled in the direction you want to build your rose in small or large tattoo compositions. Decide how full of a rose bloom you want to create by adding just a few front or side petals for a more closed rose or numerous petals for a more open appearance. You can chose from a range of side petals, from pointed and angular to softer and rounded, to develop aesthetically different roses each time.
Stop there to include just the flower in your design, or add individual leaves, leaf clusters, full or spare stems, for additional elements as the design scenario requires. For drafting or walk-in requests, the full rose stamps are stencil-ready for quick use. Customize them by modifying the stamps by switching out a petal or two, adding an extra leaf grouping, or substituting a banner with a stem.

The Snake Kit
106 Snake Scale and Composer Brushes, and Snake Head Stamps for Procreate on the iPad
Designed by Andrew Borisyuk (@andrew_borisyuk)
What’s inside
- 12 Scale body composer brushes
- 7 Snake belly composer brushes
- 59 Snake, cobra, and constrictor heads
- 20 Body segments with tight curves and coils
- 3 Rattlesnake tails
- 5 Complete snake flash designs
More info
Tattoo Smart is thrilled to bring you The Snake Kit by Andrew Borisyuk, a toolkit in our Procreate collection. Unlike flash sets, this complex brush set allows you to apply your foundational knowledge of snake form and movement, saving you time and allowing you to expand the complexity of your designs.
Featuring scale repeater brushes for top-down snakes, belly composition brushes for more coiled layouts, snake heads, and more, this kit will allow you to take the deceptively simple 3D shape of a snake and translate it to a tattoo design in a nearly limitless array of styles and options.
Snakes are a timeless tattoo subject, representing different themes in nearly every major artistic and tattoo style. They can be used as a bold, dramatic element, whether on their own as a minimalist blackwork tattoo or as the main subject of a bodysuit design. Drawing snakes, however, can prove challenging, and their form and movement require advanced compositional knowledge to accurately translate into 2D.
The Snake Kit includes both repeater brushes and stamp brushes to enable you to create Procreate designs of snakes, from traditional to realistic. Using the body composer brushes, you can draw top-down views of snakes with patterns that could also be used for koi fish, dragons, or other serpents. Follow the tutorial for step-by-step instructions.
While they are seemingly simple - an elongated tube that tapers on one end - snakes present a design challenge in that they have a top and a bottom, and a variable width. Using the belly composer brushes, you can visualize how the snake curves in 3D space, keeping its back and belly visually accurate, and creating dimension and foreshortening to make your composition dynamic. Where the Procreate repeater brush capability stops, Andrew has enabled you to add more dynamic coils and twists to your snake bodies with a series of segment stamps. Use them as a foundation to the design or to wrap the serpent around other elements.
To finish your snake design, the kit comes complete with dozens of snake and cobra head stamps, reflecting a range of "emotion" and actions. The faces' angles and perspectives make them easily adaptable to almost any snake drawing, again in a variety of styles.
With dozens of individual components, The Snake Kit Vol. 1 is the ultimate collection for creating realism, illustrative, neo-traditional, or blackwork tattoo designs of this iconic tattoo subject!

The Spitshade Set by Russ Abbott contains a variety of natural media brushes for Procreate, meticulously created, tested, and refined. When combined with our hand-stained watercolor digital paper files, these tools allow you realistically replicate traditional tattoo-style spit shade painting.Spitshading has been a mainstay of traditional tattoo flash painting since the early days. Like traditional tattooing, the spit shade technique begins with a black outline using dip pens and permanent markers, followed by black shading in short blends, and finally a simple application of color. Over the years, a clear preference for specialized watercolor paper has emerged, with a tea or coffee stain treatment sometimes applied before painting.
The Spitshade Set is the ultimate toolkit for digital watercolor. The papers in this set feature unique textures and staining application that can only be achieved with analog methods. Russ hand stained each paper himself then used advanced photography techniques to create consistent lighting and texture for the entire canvas. With 33 papers to choose from, you can experiment with different stain intensities and patterns until you find the perfect look for your final design.
Russ created the brushes in the Spitshade Set with the same care and scrutiny as the paper texture canvases. By employing the latest settings in Procreate, Russ was able to develop a set of extremely flexible brushes that utilize the full extent of the brush engines in your favorite design software. Experiment with the opacity, pressure, and angle of your Apple Pencil to fully realize the potential for expressive mark making with these brushes. The brushes and canvases in the Spitshade Set enable you to recreate your spitshading workflow, design style, and final product, regardless of your analog technique.

After its original release in 2019, Watch & Compass quickly became one of the most popular Procreate toolkits on Tattoo Smart, saving tattooers thousands of hours endlessly designing one of the most requested tattoo themes in recent years. Matt updated this set in 2020 to optimize it for the latest Procreate settings, added another compass rose face, and included the Scout and Navigator compasses with that compass rose inlaid. After hearing the feedback from Procreate users about challenges using the chain repeater brushes and the “stepped” effect that can occur, Matt also created 5 stamped options for each chain style. The stamped chains give you smoother options to use when you need a short section of chain or to layer with other elements.Matt Brumelow created Watch & Compass to make your design process faster and save you from drawing endless concentric circles and ovals, while giving you enough flexibility to customize each tattoo for your client. To help you get started, he included stamps to create both flat and angled perspective designs. Select a pocket watch frame, then add a watch face, numerals, hands, topper, chain and clasp to quickly create thousands of variations of watches. Matt included both modern and vintage design elements to fit the style of pocket watch your client requests.Client changed their mind and wants a compass now?
