Brazilian tattooer Fran Rocha is a student of world cultures, and in particular the ornamentation used throughout history. Unsurprisingly, as tattoos became more commonplace, symbols like mandalas, with or without the specific cultural meaning, were used to decorate the body, bringing a similarly adorned aesthetic. In recent years, ornamental tattoos have risen in popularity, from complex, fine-line mendhi and henna-inspired tattoos to large scale, bold linework designs.

The mandalas in this collection reflect a range of options. Fran drew inspiration from natural elements like flowers, leaves, and vines. She included popular ornamental tattoo trends like Indian and botanical styles, and interpreted common client requests like dreamcatchers as mandalas.

The Abbott Color Wheel features scientifically measured samples of the complete line of color tattoo pigments from Eternal Ink (247 Colors). The colors have been carefully arranged by hue, value, and saturation to give the artist the most comprehensive view of tattoo pigment imaginable. By viewing the ACW through the attached "Gamut Masks", the artist can quickly visualize a range of color schemes to use in the tattoo or art project. 

The Digital Layered File version of the Abbott Color Wheel allows us the opportunity to offer more gamut masks than what is available with the printed version. This file is for users of Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, and now Procreate. By opening the .psd file in one of these programs, you will be able to toggle on/off the visibility of each gamut mask and rotate the mask above the color wheel. Visualizing color schemes in this way is a very quick and intuitive process. Advanced users may choose to design their own gamut mask shapes to personalize their color palettes even more.

This digital download includes a PDF poster of the Abbott Color Wheel, along with a smaller .jpg image that can be useful as a digital version to select Eternal Ink colors for use in Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, and Procreate.

Body Planes is a 44 page reference book of human body diagrams created specifically for tattooers.

"I designed these body part layouts after taking a sculpting course and studying the planes of the body and écorché* model. After years of laying out tattoos for 3-dimensional human bodies on 2-dimensional surfaces, it occurred to me, that the true surface of the varying shapes of the body were not being taken in to account.
