Tattoo Smart is thrilled to present Protoplast: Vol. 1, an original collection of human tattoo canvases to use for placing your digital tattoo designs. For months the Tattoo Smart community has been sending emails, DMs, texts, and smoke signals begging for a set of tattoo canvas stamps. All the while, we were quietly developing Protoplast: Vol. 1 in the Tattoo Smart labs, using 3D tools to create this enormous set of Procreate stamps crucial to every tattooer’s digital toolkit. Protoplast: Vol. 1 features more than 252 full body and body part canvases you can use as a base for drafting your design on top of, as a guide for experimenting with design placement, and to showcase how your designs will ultimately look on your client’s bodies. Compiled in two Procreate brush sets, each full body canvas and body part includes female and male variations in 4 different body types, representing a range of realistic human figures. The full body canvases include 4 different poses, each from 5 viewpoints, so you can experiment with which angle or pose suits your concept best. The common tattoo areas include arm and leg sleeves, full and upper back and chest models, and side pieces, all in 4 body types and varying viewpoints. Together, this collection of canvases can be used for any tattoo design in any style on any body shape.

To help you choose the most realistic canvas for each client’s design, Protoplast also includes a 30-color skin tone Procreate swatch file. You can use the default true black color for a neutral skin tone that includes the widest range of values, or select one that more closely matches your client’s skin color to display the final tattoo more realistically.
